While waiting for Beowulf to start, the trailer for Jumper was one I noticed and have started garnering interest for.
Its basically about a guy that can “jump” to any place he wants.
Looks like he isn’t the only one. Plus, someone can and will stop him.
Interesting.
I see two problems with this movie. Samuel L. Jackson. Hayden Christensen.
If the movie actually withstands these two, it’ll truly be a miracle.
Sigh.
I’ve talked about this one before but at the time, there was nothing on the web to watch. Well, that has changed.
I mean, the movie has its own apple trailer site worth visiting now. The official site has an even cleaner clearer trailer.
It is interesting how all these comic books I grew up reading are now getting their own movies.
The kid in me loves to see this. I can only imagine how psyched I would’ve been if these came out when I was much younger. Even now, I watch these just to see how they turned out as movies.
Judging from the trailer, this movie will have pretty good effects. I don’t like how stiffly he moves his head but hopefully they can figure that out before release.
Now if only they could have a focused and solid story the movie would be great.

I’ve been seeing ads for this movie in magazines but never knew exactly what it was about. I also heard discussions about it in some of the podcasts I listen to but, again, I paid it no mind. Then I saw the trailer on G4 tonight and perhaps it merits some attention.

For those that don’t know, its an animated movie set in medieval times. The names associated are pretty impressive starting with the dude that directed “Cast Away” and continuing with animated look-alikes of the following well known actors/actresses:

I can’t remember the year the original Bionic Woman TV show aired (though I’m sure the Wiki article does). What I do remember is watching the show as a kid. Growing up as a gamer and comic book fan, the show was easy to get into and was actually quite entertaining. Plus, it was similar to another favorite cartoon I liked as a kid. Here is the intro for the show for those that don’t know it. It also does a good job of describing her origin.
Don’t know how many seasons it lasted but this offshoot of the original show entitled The 6 Million Dollar Man eventually got cancelled (as they all do). I know it had at least two seasons. Per the wiki article, they are actually now on DVD, too. So if you have time and money and want to watch some old school TV show, get ‘em while they’re hot.
Season Two
In any case, the show was cancelled. Dead. Finito. Well, call her the Bionic Pheonix Woman because its time for a revival.
On Sept 26, 2007, NBC is bringing back the story of the Bionic Woman with a new-age twist. It’ll be airing on NBC on Wednesdays starting in Sept. From the trailer, its worth a look. We’ll see how it turns out but so far its looking purty good. The fight scene at the end is sweetness.
